As San Felipe Baja Mexico gains in popularity around the world, one question that seems to come up over and over again from vacationers interested in visiting San Felipe is whether it is possible to fly to San Felipe Baja Mexico.

The answer is Yes and No. So next question is what do you mean by Yes and No? San Felipe does have an International Airport which is located 6 – 7 miles South of Town, and yes the airport does have flights that arrive and depart every day, however, these are primarily charter flights.

A few years ago, there were regularly scheduled flights out of Southern California. These flights coincided with the real estate boom that swept across San Felipe and thus demand for scheduled flights to San Felipe was very high from both businessmen and vacation travelers. As the real estate book subsided there was simply not enough business to sustain the scheduled flights.

So for now, because of the proximity of San Felipe to the Baja California Mexico boarder, most vacationers to San Felipe simply fly to San Diego and drive down from there. It should be noted that the new Marinazul Resort Development is rekindling hopes of reintroducing flights to San Felipe. Of course, if you are loaded in cash, charter flights to San Felipe is always an option. These charter flights take care of all the boarder crossing requirements.
